FAQ
What days and times are you available for a session?
Sessions are held 7 days a week. All sessions take place approximately one hour before sunset.
What is your turnaround time for images?
You will receive your gallery of image proofs within 2-3 weeks of our session. This gallery will have "soft" edits only. Once you choose the images you love, I will fully retouch your chosen images and you will receive them back within 10 days.
How do I download my digital images?
Once images have their final edits, you will receive a link to your online gallery with a download PIN, as well as further specific instructions on how to download your images.
Do you store copies of my images in case I lose them?
Once your images are downloaded, I no longer store copies of your images. Please backup your images and store them safely.
Can I print my images wherever I would like?
Yes, you can print your high resolution images at a photo lab of your choice. Please understand that printed image quality is only 100% guaranteed when ordering through the professional print lab I am calibrated and partnered with.
Do you also offer prints?
Yes, I am partnered with a professional lab and I offer a variety of beautiful products to display the art we have created in your home.
Do you give out unedited or RAW format images?
No, I do not give out any unedited or RAW format images as these do not represent my artistry and are not a finished product.
What happens if I am late for my session?
If you are running late, please call or message me to let me know so I can wait for you to arrive. We will only have the remainder of time left for your session once you arrive. If I do not receive a message notifying me that you are running late, I will wait 15 minutes for you to arrive. After that, I will leave and that will be considered a 'no show.' No refund will be given.
What if my child is not in a "good" mood?
I offer ideas on how to plan and prepare children for family sessions that often happen to be scheduled right around the same time as dinner/bedtime. We incorporate a lot of playtime and fun in sessions trying to accommodate for how a child is feeling. I do try everything possible to interact or give the child space as needed, however, the photographer is not responsible for a reshoot if the child is not happy/smiling during the session. The purpose of the photo session is not to capture perfect behavior necessarily, but to capture genuine, heartfelt moments, even if that sometimes mean consoling tears or children just being their silly selves!
Why is a retainer payment required to schedule a session?
A retainer payment allows me to reserve the date you request for your session and compensates for last minute cancellations, should they occur. If not paid at the time of booking, the session will not be scheduled on my calendar. The retainer payment is non-refundable, but can be applied toward a rescheduled session.
Why is there a fee for additional retouching?
Some edits are more involved and take much more time than the basic edits. The fee reflects the amount of time I spend on perfecting your images.
Why is there an additional travel cost for some locations?
An additional travel charge accommodates for my time, vehicle maintenance, and fuel it takes to travel to sessions further from my residence.
Do you photograph events?
Yes, I do offer photography services for outdoor events such as military retirements, promotions, and re-enlistments. I do not offer indoor event photography.
Do you photograph weddings?
I do photograph small elopements (under 10 wedding guests and bridal party members total). Outdoor locations only. I do not photograph any indoor events.
Do you photograph newborns?
I would be happy to schedule a lifestyle newborn session with your family at an outdoor location. I do not photograph posed newborns in studio or in-home sessions.
Do you photograph boudoir?
I do not offer boudoir photography services.
