BEFORE OUR SESSION
Retainer
Session retainer invoice amount of $50 will be sent via email and must be paid at booking in order to have your photo session scheduled. If no retainer is paid, I cannot save your chosen date on my calendar and the session will not be scheduled.
Questionnaire
Please fill out the questionnaire, which will be emailed to you soon after booking, so I can learn more about you/your family and your goals for our session.
Choose a Location
There are so many beautiful locations to choose from in the Mid-South area. I am happy to help you decide on a perfect location for your family. Some locations have an additional entrance fee. Entrance fee for the photographer will be added to the session amount. Please review travel charges.
Style Closet
We will schedule a time and date that works best for you to try on items from my style closet. I have dresses for women size XS-3XL and girls sizes 6 months to age 14. I am continually adding styles and sizes. I am located on the NSA Mid-South Naval base. You must have base access. Please visit my blog (link provided below) for helpful information on style tips on what to wear/avoid and to see my current style closet items. Please bring a change of clothes to our session, as I will take the dresses with me after to launder.
Weather
In the event of rain/inclement weather, we will be in touch throughout the day of our session and make a determination as close to the session time as will allow. The session will not be rescheduled due to cloudy skies.
Time/Location
Sessions will be scheduled an hour before sunset for the ideal light at the location of your choice. Please be on time, dressed and ready for our session. If you are running late, we will only have the remaining time left. If you need to change your children's clothes before the session, please have them ready by the start time.
Payments/Cancellations
The retainer payment is due upon booking to secure your date and is non-refundable, but can be applied to a different date if a change is necessary and available. The remaining balance invoice is due on the date of the session and will be sent via email. Session is non-transferable.

DURING OUR SESSION
I like to have fun at our sessions! I try to make everyone as comfortable as possible and will instruct you to just be present with your family and show them all the love you have! I like for families to pretend that I am not even there while I just capture all of the sweet candid moments that take place just by your regular interactions. But do not worry! I do guide you every step of the way and make suggestions so you do not just feel awkward and standing around! You will notice you do not see many, if any posed images on my websiste because that is not the type of photography that I do and not the art that I like to create. I am all about the twirling dresses, hair flips, dancing, swinging, walking/movement, kisses, snuggles, hugs, details, goofiness, intimacy, happiness and joy that we develop during out session. I want to capture the real and raw emotions that go along with toddlers and sometimes teenagers as well lol This sometimes includes tears but that can lead to some beautiful images of how your children are exactly at this time and age in their life. I do not want them to act "perfect" or "on their best behaved". I just them thm to be who they are..and that will be perfect to me.
AFTER OUR SESSION
Proofing Gallery
I send out an initial gallery of your image proofs within 2-3 weeks of our session. These are the "rough draft" images, not the final images. This means the images will not be fully edited and perfected until after you choose your favorites. These images are lower resolution and meant for selection purposes only. Final image edits will all be the high resolution files. You will have 48 hours to choose your favorite images. (Please understand I need to keep a very strict timeline for my business to run smoothly in order to deliver galleries on time. If you do not choose your favorites within 48 hours, I cannot guarantee my regular turn around time of 10 days). Once you choose your 15 favorite images, those will all be perfected with distractions in the background removed, color correction, exposure, crop, horizons straightened, images centered, etc. Please mainly pay attention to poses/expressions. It is best to view them on a computer (large screen). Once you choose your favorites, I will have the final edits back to you within 10 days and you will need to approve them before you download them. You will receive information on how to download your images at that time.
